With the government coming up with various legislations for upkeep of the working environment and the labour laws getting more stringent the industry has to be more proactive and improve their performance in these fields to be competitive in their business interests
It is necessary to keep the working environment as clean as possible for mainly two reasons:

1. Loss of material
2. Workers exposure

There are various specifications laid for various pollutants in work environment which if not controlled can cause danger to the workers and subsequently lead to various complications in the health of the worker. Our factories act 1948, specifies the limit for various pollutants in the work environment these limits are drawn from NIOSH, OSHA standards. It is a known fact that if the work environment is clean and workers exposure to these pollutants are as minimal as possible, efficiency of worker would go up substantially. A part from these two impacts the pollutants can also cause damage to the equipments/ instruments in the area and may lead to down time/maintenance. To address all these issues it is advisable that we monitor the work environment and take corrective actions which would ultimately be beneficial to the industry.
